Welcome to the latest edition of the Nubilo Blog. In this short blog I’m going to talk about Landing pages and how they are going to be used by Nubilo to drive new business customers. Later in the development of Nubilo I plan to create Landing pages for “Business customers” to use to create great sales funnels and promotional pages that they can share on any platform.
So lets start at the beginning..
What is a landing page?
Wikipedia describes Landing pages as:
“A landing page is a web page that allows you to capture a visitor’s information through a lead form. A good landing page will be targeted to a particular stream of traffic – say from an email campaign advertising a particular whitepaper – and, because it is targeted, and because it has an interesting offer behind a lead capture form, you will convert a higher percentage of your website visitors into leads with which you can follow up.”
At Nubilo, this principal is being employed to drive Nubilo customers using built in Landing page features ( as apposed to consuming another Landing page platform such as Leadpages ). The Landing pages are designed to convey the advantages of using the Nubilo platform and very briefly covers what the benefits are of using Nubilo and Why it matters.
Why are landing pages so critical?
Again, Wikipedia says
“Too many companies send their advertising, email, or social media traffic to their homepage. This is a huge missed opportunity. When you know a stream of targeted traffic will be coming to your website, you can increase the likelihood of converting that traffic into leads by using a targeted landing page.
For example, imagine you have a Google AdWords PPC ad running for one of your best keywords.
Even if you advertise how great your company is (a boring offer for any company) and someone (amazingly) clicks through on that ad, do you want to send them to your homepage? When they land on your homepage, what are they supposed to do? What do you want them to do?
Once you figure out what you want the visitor to do, make it easier for them to do just that. Send them to a landing page that prompts them to complete that action. You’ll see the effectiveness of your online marketing improve dramatically.”
With this in mind, Nubilo Landing pages are design to have a single “call to action” . They have a single heading, targeted Images and message, followed by a single call to action. For the business users Landing page, the call to action is a really basic form “Company name , Postcode and email” and a single button. In reality it wont matter if the form is filled in, as it simply pre-populates part of the business signup form at the next step, but the important thing about the Landing page is that it is both simplifying the sign up process and performing the function of a squeeze page. Sneaky. The Landing page then passes the user into the business signup process, pre-popluating most of the fields to make the user think that the process has been largely done for them, and they are just a few clicks away.
How Landing pages convert browsers into customers
The anatomy of a Landing page is really simple.
By design the Landing page should have a single call to Action. All navigation should be removed as you only want a user to move through your designed workflow. Having navigational choices provide options for them to click away from the signup process, which you don’t want to happen.
The Landing page should have a singular message and by supported by some great images.
The ultimate aim of the Landing page is to direct users into the Sales Funnel.. So what is a Sales Funnel?
The sales funnel
The sales funnel is a process that is designed to progress users from initial contact, to a paying customer.
The first stage of the sales funnel is to reach out to a potential customer, otherwise known as a lead, through a number of possible medium. This could be email, a phone call, an advertisement or by sharing a link or business card. The customer is directed through a carefully crafted process that is designed to inspire potential customers to subscribe and purchase the product.
Nubilo employs the sales funnel model. Leads are generated through targeted advertising. The advertising is focussed on building business customers by inspiring potential small business owners to subscribe and benefit from FREE marketing and business tools that save money and time.
FREE business tools such as Invoicing, Customer Relationship management and Customer messaging are immediately available and more great tools are under development.
The advertising for Nubilo focuses on Millennial’s and people who either already have, or would like to start a business servicing people in the home. Skilled and Unskilled people can benefit from Nubilo.
Nubilo is suitable for you if your business is focused on a customers property, such as cleaning houses, window cleaning, or general housekeeping, Gardening, tree surgery, Electrician, plumbing or any other skilled or unskilled service for the home. There will be another blog on the service catalog another day.
How Nubilo is developing Landing pages?
Nubilo has just released two types of Landing page. Business and Consumer. The Business landing pages are focused on building business signups and the consumer landing pages are focused on users that want to mange their property and consume services.
The Business Landing pages are to be the first to undergo A-B testing and will lead the way for the rest of the Lead page development at Nubilo.
In this really early version have yet to build a full catalog of Nubilo branded images, so there are still quite a few stock images in use, but they still look pretty cool.
I hope you enjoyed this blog. There are loads more like it to come as i follow the development of Nubilo..
