Welcome everyone to a new blog about nubilo. This blog describes what nubilo is, how it has been built over the last 2 years and how it is continuing to develop.
In this series of blogs I hope to be giving you a flavor of what nubilo can do to transform your business, and also explain how it has been designed to benefit people with small businesses and consumers in the home who want to save time managing their home maintenance.
It would be great to get your feedback and hear your views on what could be included in nubilo and how it could be improved. This platform is ever evolving and getting feedback is absolutely critical in developing a product that works for your business.

But the main focus has been on the dynamic content that is inside the site. This can be accessed from the Dashboard, services or Articles links.
Inside Nubilo you can manage your home and find Service providers that offer specific and relevant services to you. One distinguishing feature of Nubilo is that you can add your individual property assets, which allows you to track them over time, and link to favorite service providers. This allows you to automate maintenance tasks and reduces the time it takes to find and book servicing on your home, such as a boiler service or getting a cleaner.

Why Nubilo?
There will be many articles to follow that talk about what Nubilo does and how it does it, but first I’d like to set the scene by telling you why it’s been created in the first place and explain the vision.
I’ve always felt that it is too hard for the majority of people to get started with a new business and build a customer base. Creating a website, advertising, building a range of customers all takes time and requires marketing skills, technology skills and funding. I started my first business at the age of 14 (cutting lawns) and learnt the consequences of not agreeing a price before cutting an elderly lady’s lawn down the street (more about that another day). I learnt a valuable lesson about sales that day and I reflect back on how much energy I had to start a business, but I lacked the knowledge on how to start and build customers. I wanted to be able to provide opportunity to individuals that would like to have their own enterprise, or work for themselves.
After 20 years of IT experience and more than 10 years exploring different techniques in starting a business at home and dealing with the challenges this creates, I decided to build a tool that everyone can use to operate their own business for servicing customers at home, performing any home related maintenance.
The vision for Nubilo is a central hub that any small business owner can use to manage their customers, send invoices and track payments, produce reports on income and help with tax returns and planning, as well as provide a single interface to manage marketing, communicate with existing customers and acquire new customers.
From a users perspective, the vision is to provide a single management dashboard to allow anyone to organise their home and home maintenance, as well as save time and money.
